Sea Dream offers a very spacious climate-controlled salon for your fishing and riding comfort. We have a private head (restroom), sink, microwave and plenty of comfortable seating. If you are highly curious and adventurous, we invite you to climb up on the bridge to get a "bird's eye" view so we can share our fishing stories and fill you in on all that goes into your fishing adventure from the Captain's point of view on the bridge.

Sea Dream was built in 1977 by renowned custom North Carolina boat builder Bobby Sullivan in Point Harbor, NC. She was specifically designed for charter fishing and is 45 feet long with a nice wide 14 foot beam offering plenty of fishing room for our guests. These custom built North Carolina charter boats are world renowned for their attractive and functional "Carolina Flare" of the bow giving them an incredibly dry ride in rough seas. Sea Dream is a well maintained no nonsense fish catching machine and has a well proven outstanding performance record in both Hatteras and Oregon Inlet for many years. We are USCG licensed and approved for up to six guests.

Sea Dream - Captain Charlie Fleetwood

Captain Charlie grew up fishing and sailing on the Chesapeake Bay and off the coast of Virginia Beach. He served 27 years with the Norfolk Fire Rescue (NFR), retiring in 2012. His last few years with NFR, he was assigned to Fire/Rescue Boat 13. After retirement, he moved to Hatteras Island where he fished out of his own boat with his family and friends.

In 2014, Captain Charlie obtained his OUPV license and began running various boats out of Hatteras. Charlie and his family have a strong ties to Sea Dream. His son, Tyler, was the mate on Sea Dream for three years with Captain Guy Baxter. When Captain Baxter fell ill, Charlie took the helm finishing out the season. Sea Dream was eventually sold and moved to Morehead City. Charlie spent over two years looking for a charter boat to purchase but no other vessel reached the bar that Sea Dream had set. Charlie had stayed in touch with new boat owner and was finally able to purchase her and bring her back to Hatteras as his own.

Captain Charlie's priorities are safety first and fun second. He loves the excitement, cheers and smiles when the party is fighting a fish, and when it's pulled over the side of the boat. Come fish on Sea Dream. You'll fall in love with the Gulf Stream. You'll enjoy the comforts that Sea Dream has to offer, and you'll be treated like family with Captain Charlie as your guide.
